Love It!

Six Lessons: From the Dead.

  • Be nice.
  • Don’t be mean. (Seems like they are two of the same thing.)
  • Retire young.
  • Or not at all. (Now those are radically different concepts. Since I love what I do, I prefer the latter.)
  • You don’t have to be rich or even have a home.
  • Act now.

Easy to say, harder to do. A note asks what lessons the reader has learned. Here are a few of mine.

  • Stand up for what you believe in. You’ll have fewer regrets.
  • Patience is a virtue, but a virtue that’s tough to attain.
  • It’s more fun to share than to keep stuff for oneself.
  • The rewards of family keep on giving and not in the material sense.
  • Silence is golden. Noise creates havoc.
  • Follow your passion.
  • Time spent with a cat is never wasted. (I stole that one from Colette.)
