Migration — Nice People, Successful Trip

Wish they had a category called “Shameless Self Promotion!” A terrific visit to Old Saybrook today. Everyone was kind and generous about letting me put announcements of my book signing about: the folks at Paperback Café, a great place for lunch; the Acton Public Library, where the reading room is named for “Celebrity Mom”; and Town Hall, where my high school classmate Elaine Seaforth introduced me to First Selectman Michael Pace who said they’d arrange put the announcements in the display space at the entrance. It’ll be right near the promotions for the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Center, which is going into the former town hall, now that the town hall has moved into the former Main Street School.
And Donna Bookman (perfect name!), the manager at Emerson & Cook Book Co., has bent over backward to make the signing a success. I’m getting excited, even though the event isn’t until December 19.
